Bourne Construction (formerly Isis Restoration Limited) was established in 1998.  In our early days our works predominantly consisted of stone cleaning and restoration, but after building solid working relationships with both clients and sub-contractors we have adapted over the years expanding the services we provide to suit their needs.  As a Principal Contractor, we now provide a broader scope of works including the following:

 

·    Internal and external refurbishment (commercial, residential, industrial and retail)

·    Stone cleaning and restoration

·    New build and conversions

·    Remedial Cladding Investigation, testing, repairs, replacement of Cladding, Insulation and Fire Breaks to Commercial and Residential buildings

·    Maintenance and call outs

Our contract values range from maintenance call out fees up to £10million.

Our head office and yard is strategically based in Dartford, Kent. The location is convenient providing us with the ability to service both central London and the south east.  The majority of our projects are undertaken in central London and around the M25, with the exception of fixed site locations and major projects (ie Bristol, Newport, Great Yarmouth and Bournemouth).  Our location in Dartford is key to respond quickly to clients’ needs, frequently at very short notice; they are also ideal for our clients with operations outside this area in the South East. Additionally, having key accounts with various large well-known suppliers enables us to respond quickly to any request.  We have a maintenance call out service, many on a 24hr basis for projects, which can be a mandatory requirement for some emergencies.

We constantly strive to always be at the forefront of H&S compliance, innovation, and good practice, so that we can produce an even safer working environment for our employees, our clients’ operatives and the general public.  All pre and post construction phase health and safety documents are produced by the project manager running each project.  This ensures that all planning is site specific and the most senior, responsible person is aware of potentials risks to implement the correct safety measures and reiterate to site staff/visitors.

Our directly employed workforce are highly skilled and enjoy the benefit of extensive ongoing training, such as first aid, IPAF, SMSTS etc.

All sub-contractors are asked to complete a pre qualification questionnaire and are vetted prior to being added to our approved list.
